Wii-Me

When my friend informed that Best Buy had restock for Nintendo Wii on January 21 early morning, I was like I am planning to get one and don’t care whatever it takes to getting Wii. And I had to get up early this morning at 7 o’clock and get ready to leave to Best Buy without thinking twice. When arrived there, I saw some of people already stood in the line and had to parked my vehicle on the parking lots then walked up to the end of the line. Without warning, I saw the person in their big SUV approaching to the end of line as I walked at same time but ignored that. Later, that person who drove the big SUV talked to me and I pointed to my ears and shook my head at him. He told me that he’s supposed to being in between me and other person who stood in front of me because it’s cold for him to stand outside (by write the note down to me). I was like “Eh…?” and wrote back to him, “Get back to the line and suffer the cold weather like we do. Fair is fair!” And he did stood behind me at the end of line. For some time, my legs and toes became numb and freeze enough to walk around somewhat difficult. I had to be tough and suffered like other people do. Yes, I made a mistake by forget to wear the long john, gloves and hat but at least I had a coat on while Gameboy Advance SP1 keep me some company in case if I feel bored. Finally, my friend arrived and give me some hot cocoa to warm my freeze legs and toes up. At last, the manager of Best Buy start to hand out the ticket for purchase Nintendo Wii at 10:30am. I got #13 out of 36 Wii’s and my friend got #15. And we wait until the store open at 11:00am and we finally bought Wii at last. It’s a good experience to wait in the long line for that. Next time, I need to prepare something and think twice about the weather before leave for that. But it’s worth my almost-three hours of waiting in the line during the very cold morning with snow all over the sidewalk.

Time for 64 Bits…Again

I was happy to have an opportunity to borrow Nintendo 64 with Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask from my friend. Because I never had bought the Nintendo 64 system, however, I did rent it twice or thrice before and don’t have enough time to beat those games. Pathetic, eh? Probably so. I am really looking forward to beat all of those games that I borrowed from my friend. Let me get off the website and go back to play Nintendo 64 right away…

Rant Video Game

I bought the recent Role-Playing Game for Playstation2 called “Grandia III” on February 15th and later start played that game. Something really pissed me off about that game and did happened that again like few years before. Do you know what’s really pissed me off? It lacked the subtitle on the video clip which the deaf players not able to understand what’s going on the storyline. However, there are conversation boxes outside of the video clips. It really ticked me off and made me feel like not want to playing that game at all. Here what the logo of Grandia III look like:

Grandia III

Don’t ever buy that unless you are more willing to play it. It’s all up to you. Oh yea! I almost forget about something that I want to tell. It was very strange of other Grandia series of game does have a subtitle on the video clips but Grandia III doesn’t. What’s wrong with its developers? Jeezum, it’s time for me to file a complaint to its company and developers about that. Wish me luck!

20th Year Anniversary of Zelda

Wow, it have been 20 years since the first release of the classic Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) game called ‘The Legend of Zelda’ on February 21st, 1986. It have still been popular among since the last twenty years.

Happy Birthday Zelda!

Here the list of the most earliest game to the latest game are:

The Legend of Zelda – Nintendo
It is still the best classic game ever today. Believe it or not! My uncle was first introduced me to that game. I hope I still have the gold cartridge somewhere around my parent’s house. They better still have it. And even I did beat it included the second quest which was more harder than the first quest.

The Legend of Zelda II: Adventure of Link – Nintendo
It was very different and almost like pure RPG and somewhat adventure. Guess what? That game was my first Zelda game to playing, not ‘The Legend of Zelda’. I remember that the first time I played it at my grandparent’s house when my uncle (the very same uncle who first introduced me to the first Legend of Zelda) rent and play then fell asleep before I arrived there and saw it. I grabbed the controller out of his hand and start playing it without know what the name of that game is. Until later, I found out that it’s really Zelda II after I beat the first Zelda game and tried to look for it and finally found it. Later, I finally beat it. It was somewhat difficult especially the pass way to the final dungeon. It was enjoyable.

The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past – Super Nintendo
Wow, let me tell you something. That game was very interesting but not very much for a storyline. Yes, I did beat that game and its ending is very touching…still today. Even if I still remember the whole ending story except for the credits which I cannot memorized all of the names.

The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening – Game Boy
I never had a chance to playing that game because I don’t have the classic Game Boy earlier day until last Fall of 2005 I bought the Game Boy Advance SP1. Talk about too long time enough, eh? I would love to get the chance to playing that game and beat it someday.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – Nintendo 64
Like Game Boy, I never own the Nintendo 64 system but did sure missed lots of opportunity to playing that game. I did rent that game once or twice and never had enough time to beat that game even if I only had one day which wasn’t enough. Someday, I will play that game again someday! Update: I finally able to borrowed Nintendo 64 system from my friend for playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Oh boy…It took me a month long to beat that game even if I used the strategy guide. And noticed that Ocarina of Time was the beginning of the story about how it start from the begin. And that story was very interesting to read.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask – Nintendo 64
I have heard of that game many times before but never had a chance to playing, not even rent at all. I should go playing that game some when. Don’t worry, Majora’s Mask and I will be return back to you! Update: Like Ocarina of Time, I did borrowed from the same friend which I borrowed Nintendo 64 system and it took me a week to beat that. Majora’s Mask was happened right after Ocarina of Time story. Its story was alright but more like going off the topic suddenly such as there’s no Zelda character, no Ganon, no Triforce, and few other Zelda traditional items and characters. I gave that game “okay”.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages – Game Boy Color
I haven’t tried playing that game before but would like to try that game someday.

The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time Master Quest – GameCube
Hmm, it sound like the second quest of Ocarina of Time but more harder than the original one. I haven’t tried that game before. Gotta love the challenge.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker – GameCube
Okay, that game is pretty neat since my friend still have it and I played it for some time while I babysit my best friend’s son while he took a nap. It was cool playing but to sailing the world too much is pretty tiresome. I haven’t beat it yet. Let’s hope that my save there will not be gone! Updated: Ever since I bought Nintendo Wii with the backward compatibility of running Nintendo GameCube games, I had a chance to borrow the game from the very same friend which I borrowed Nintendo 64 and Zelda 64 games and played it for some time. At last, I beat the game. I find that very humor when Link have some excellent facial expressions. And I gave that game three out of five stars.

The Legend of Zelda Collector’s Edition – GameCube
Once I have seen that game sell at some video game retailer store around late 2003 and never seen it again anywhere lately. This compilation includes The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II, Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, and a demo of The Wind Waker. I wish I could have bought that game.

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure – GameCube
Once again, I don’t have a GameCube. Oh my gosh! I did sure fell really behind the Zelda games. But Four Swords Adventure sound like four players can able to play that game at once. Hmm…I should try that game out someday. Anyone would like to play with me…?

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap – Game Boy Advance
Hmm, I need to buy that game since I have Game Boy Advance SP1 and saw that game selling at Gamestop. I hope that this game would be fun to playing. Update: When I had Gameboy Advance SP1, I finally had a chance to buy The Minish Cap and playing it for awhile. It’s very weird to see Link as a really tiny boy but interesting to play. I noticed that there are no Zelda or Ganon on that game either. Very disappointment. At least I beat it anyways.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess – GameCube/Nintendo Wii
The next newest Zelda game will be out this year. From what I have seen the preview screen shots of that game, it look so reality to me and going to be very interesting to playing. But it will take some experiences to playing that advance. Updated: I bought Wii’s The Legend of Zelda game but WOW! That game is so awesome and have best graphics that I ever seen before. And I did beat that game and its difficulty level is somewhat fair moderate. That game is highly recommend for Zelda fans.

That’s all of the Zelda games but I am sure that there will be more Zelda games out there some when and still the best. I wish you Happy Birthday to you, Zelda and Link!
