World of Warcrap!

When I heard about World of Warcraft (WOW) online game then I decided that I start played World of Warcraft back to 2005 for several months then quit playing it due to the personal life situation right before the release of Burning Crusader expansion. That game was very enjoyable and lots of stories which happened right after Warcraft III. Until recently, as soon as the release of Wrath of the Lich King expansion, I want to go back to playing to see how I feel about that. Yes, it’s kinda of addicting but I had to be careful not to being heavily addicted to that since I have a better life to do than sitting there and playing all day and night which I used to playing Ultimate Online and Diablo II (with Lord of Destruction expansion) back to the college years. Unforunately, I start noticed that Ventrilo (the voice chat software) is getting more popular for Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). So, that means lots of players are now depending on Ventrilo for voice communicating with each other during the big raids. Since I’m not capable to hearing anything due to my deafness, therefore, the Ventrilo is worthless and useless to me and lots of the raid guilds don’t want me to be in their guild due to my inability of hearing over the Ventrilo then I decided to bring it up to GameMaster (GM) about that issue and had a talk with GM over that. Found out that they aren’t doing any crap about that. World of Warcraft is pretty fun and enjoyable but unforunately, it won’t be enjoyable at all if you are deaf in the raid party with hearing players on Ventrilo unless you have a full raid party of deaf players then it would be wonderful. I don’t mind to start my own guild which have deaf players, children of Deaf adult (CODA), and any hearing people who understand about Deaf Culture and Deaf World but sadly, I decided not to playing WOW anymore for good even if there’s new expansion in future date because of WOW’s poor policy. That means I am going back to playing video games such as PlayStation2, PlayStation3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable to catch up with several games which I missed out in last several months.
Blizzard Tech/GM/Whoever you are, if you are reading this weblog, then I advise you to do something with Deaf players out there who continue playing WOW since your policy for WOW is pretty poor for the Deaf players. I betcha that you will lose several players over that and even $14.99 a month for each player. And once again, I decided not to go to BlizzCon 2009 either because you won’t have my hundred dollars for that crap!

Gameboy Advance SP1 is no longer needed for me but it has been replaced by Nintendo DS Lite. In addition, I have been finally access into more games that aren’t compatible with Gameboy Advance but have a backward compatible with older Gameboy games such as classic Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance and Gameboy Advance SP. Good thing, it has a wireless router inside and I had bought Nintendo WiFi Connector that can plug into the USB 2.0 slot for internet.

Today was the release of Nintendo Wii LAN Adapter that let Nintendo Wii get internet connection without using WiFi. And I went to EB Games to bought that LAN Adapter, Classic Controller and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. And wow, I can able to surf the internet browser through Nintendo Wii if I download Opera browser into Wii. That’s so COOL, huh?

Wii-Me

When my friend informed that Best Buy had restock for Nintendo Wii on January 21 early morning, I was like I am planning to get one and don’t care whatever it takes to getting Wii. And I had to get up early this morning at 7 o’clock and get ready to leave to Best Buy without thinking twice. When arrived there, I saw some of people already stood in the line and had to parked my vehicle on the parking lots then walked up to the end of the line. Without warning, I saw the person in their big SUV approaching to the end of line as I walked at same time but ignored that. Later, that person who drove the big SUV talked to me and I pointed to my ears and shook my head at him. He told me that he’s supposed to being in between me and other person who stood in front of me because it’s cold for him to stand outside (by write the note down to me). I was like “Eh…?” and wrote back to him, “Get back to the line and suffer the cold weather like we do. Fair is fair!” And he did stood behind me at the end of line. For some time, my legs and toes became numb and freeze enough to walk around somewhat difficult. I had to be tough and suffered like other people do. Yes, I made a mistake by forget to wear the long john, gloves and hat but at least I had a coat on while Gameboy Advance SP1 keep me some company in case if I feel bored. Finally, my friend arrived and give me some hot cocoa to warm my freeze legs and toes up. At last, the manager of Best Buy start to hand out the ticket for purchase Nintendo Wii at 10:30am. I got #13 out of 36 Wii’s and my friend got #15. And we wait until the store open at 11:00am and we finally bought Wii at last. It’s a good experience to wait in the long line for that. Next time, I need to prepare something and think twice about the weather before leave for that. But it’s worth my almost-three hours of waiting in the line during the very cold morning with snow all over the sidewalk.

I was happy to have an opportunity to borrow Nintendo 64 with Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask from my friend. Because I never had bought the Nintendo 64 system, however, I did rent it twice or thrice before and don’t have enough time to beat those games. Pathetic, eh? Probably so. I am really looking forward to beat all of those games that I borrowed from my friend. Let me get off the website and go back to play Nintendo 64 right away…
